Day 299, Reading material

Day 299, Reading material

This was something I had seen before-seen that very morning, between the flowers and the furniture, when I looked down by chance, and went on passionately staring by choice, at my own crossed legs. Those folds in the trousers – what a labyrinth of endlessly significant complexity! And the texture of the gray flannel – how rich, how deeply, mysteriously sumptuous!

- Aldous Huxley

Day 298, Why in the world would you poison cats

Day 298, Why in the world would you poison cats

Less subtle title today.

The neighbour’s cat Muis featured in Day 189 died. Someone’s been poisoning the cats in the neighbourhood. One of the cats upstairs nearly died from it as well. I’m glad I’ve been keeping the cats inside more and more, lately, and it looks like they’ll be staying inside permanently from now on.

I’m thinking maybe I should just stop having pets after these. Trouble, trouble. If they’re not destroying your plants or pooping all over the place, they go off and get themselves killed for no good reason.

Day 297, And the body is fine

Day 297, And the body is fine

Thought I forgot to take a picture yesterday and panicked, but I found this on my flash card. Must have taken it between naps.

Should have gone to meet up with friends yesterday, as  I’d planned. Was looking forward to it. I’m an idiot.

Day 295, Pages of procrastination

I need to drag myself outside. Who’s up for a trip to Naturalis some time soon?

I keep meaning to go places, but even though I am probably the opposite of a people person, I can’t seem to do it alone. Or maybe because of that.
